Avaliando a intenção empreendedora na Geração Z e Milênios: um modelo integrado que estuda os efeitos mediadores da tomada de risco e da autoeficácia

Resumo

Este estudo teve como objetivo explorar o impacto da influência da Educação Financeira (EF), Educação Empreendedora (EE) e Bem-Estar Financeiro (BEF) na Intenção Empreendedora (IE) e nos papéis mediadores da Autoeficácia (EA) e da Assunção de Risco (AR). Os dados foram coletados de 736 respondentes pertencentes às coortes da Geração Z e Milênios em Bangalore. O teste de confiabilidade e validade foi realizado para verificar a consistência interna dos construtos. A SEM foi utilizada para avaliar o impacto entre os construtos. Os resultados revelam que, embora a EE não tenha impacto direto na IE, ela melhora significativamente o BEF, o que influencia positivamente a EA e a AR. A EF aprimora tanto o BEF quanto a IE, com seus efeitos na IE sendo mediados pela EA e AR. Notavelmente, o BEF tem um impacto direto negativo na IE, sugerindo que uma maior estabilidade financeira reduzirá a necessidade percebida de empreendimentos, mas afeta positivamente a AR e a AR, que são cruciais para fomentar a IE. A análise de mediação confirma que a AR e a EA desempenham papéis significativos na tradução do BEF para a IE. Essas descobertas ressaltam a importância da integração da EF com a EE para aprimorar as capacidades de EA e AR. Este estudo recomenda que formuladores de políticas e educadores criem programas abrangentes que não apenas melhorem a EF, mas também promovam a confiança e a tomada de risco (AR) para apoiar efetivamente as aspirações e o sucesso empreendedor.

A Dra. Chandra Sen Mazumdar é Professora Associada e Coordenadora do Programa de MBA da Faculdade de Administração e Comércio da Universidade de Ciências Aplicadas M. S. Ramaiah (MSRUAS), em Bangalore. Ela possui graduação em Tecnologia Química pela Universidade de Calcutá e mestrado e doutorado em Gestão de Operações pelo Departamento de Estudos de Gestão do Instituto Indiano de Ciência, em Bangalore. Antes de ingressar na vida acadêmica, adquiriu vasta experiência profissional nas indústrias química e de TI.
