Abstract

Abstract - In our study, biosurfactant production by P. fluorescens in media containing pineapple juice and sunflower frying oil (5%) for 72 hours at 150 rpm and 37 C. The biosurfactant was able to reduce the surface tension of water 72mN / m to 27.5 mN/m, showing 61.54% emulsifying hydrophobic substrate, but the use of n-hexadecane was observed reduction to 50% of emulsification. The biopolymer was removed 75.4% of the burned oil from the soil collected of semi-arid region of Pernambuco., suggesting higher efficiency in bioremediation processes.
