Abstract

This paper analyzes the current situation of auricular protectors adopted in Brazil. First it will be presented some concepts about Hearing Loss Induced by Occupational Noise and auricular protectors. Then, it will be discussed the parameters involved in the determination of the noises reduction of the auricular protectors, as well as the used norms for determining the noises reduction levels in laboratories. Finally, it will be shown the legal aspects that determine the supplying and production of the auricular protectors, and the current situation of the noise attenuation problems in the country.
