Abstract

Pubalgy is an inflammation that occurs in the pubis bone region, a center of origin/intersection of several muscles. In some sports medicine clinics, it was observed that pubalgy is a very common cause of groin pain. As this inflammation affects many athletes, a preventive work in the preparation of the athletes is extremely important, mainly in relation to the ones of high level, for which a lesion means a great financial damage for its career and for its club. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to make a survey of the forms of prevention of the pubalgy, as well to evaluate its effectiveness prevention, since pubalgy is an injury that has been increasingly affecting a greater number of high-level athletes. In this work, it is verified the forms and parameters of prevention of this inflammation in high-level athletes, as well its effectiveness by means of bibliographical revision.
