Abstract

In this text, it is aimed to point out and to analyze the individual experience of social inequality, with its psychological implications, considering the point of view and report of one who is oppressed, one that lived and live that experience daily. From the theoretical referential of social psychology, the reification concept was used, allowing the analysis of the predominant factors in the origin of inequality among men. It was aimed to discuss contents, creeds and values of the system that determines forms of relationship, facilitating the reflection and understanding concerning the pursuit of the human's return. The study was carried out with participants who are blue-collar workers, in the central area of the city of São Paulo. For collection of data, semi-directed interviews were used, elaborated with the qualitative research method. It was concluded that there was a social humiliation experience, generating anguish, once inserted in a society visibly marked by capitalist relationships that frequently tend to annul man's essence.
