Abstract

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) or mucoviscidosis is a systemic disease, hereditary and progressive, characterized by a generalized dysfunction of exocrine glands. The aim was to conduct a review of outpatient physical training in children with CF to better conduct physical therapy during pulmonary rehabilitation. This study is a literature review, where to perform this research were used as scientific sites: Bireme, Medline and Pubmed, using the key words: cystic fibrosis and exercise. We searched the following topics aerobic training, anaerobic, muscle strength and respiratory muscle. All cited as benefits to individuals with CF reduction in dyspnea index, improvement in lung function, increased provision for the study, inclusion of physical activity in their daily lives and improves quality of life. Note the importance of physical training so that consequently there is an effective physical therapy treatment.
