Effect of low Power laser therapy on boné tissue – Literature review

The bone structure present in the human body is a rigid tissue that has blood vessels and good capacity of regeneration. It has as main functions sustentation, protection and salt mineral storage. In this structure, the osteoblasts are responsible for repairing and deposition of bone matrix. More studies are made each time to increase the adhesion and the osteoblasts proliferation in order to improve the cicatrization. The laser therapy can contribute in significant way the bone repairing process, for example, reducing the inflammation, improving the cicatrization, relieving pain, modulating the cellular metabolic processes, strengthening the regenerative biological potential of the tissues. This therapy can provide good results in the bone metabolic reactions, even so the mechanisms become possible are not elucidated yet, these data suggest that the therapy with low power laser can promote a bioestimulation and improve the proliferation, differentiation and activation of the osteoblasts metabolism.Downloads
