Introduction: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is characterized by excessive activity, or difficulties in sustaining attention and persistence in daily tasks, causing damage in many areas of individual’s life. Objective: To compare the motor performance of children with and without indication of ADHD. Methods: Participants were 39 children (9 to 12 years) of both sexes enrolled in a school in São José (SC) (20 with ADHD and 19 without). To indicate ADHD, we used the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, and for the motor evaluation the Assessment Battery for Children. Results: The motor difficulties were not associated with ADHD. However, there was a significantly better performance of children without ADHD in the manual skills (p=0.001) and overall performance on the motor test (p=0.034). Conclusion: It is suggested the use of assessments for screening in schools and implementation of activities aimed at driving the population with and without ADHD.Downloads
