Introduction: Among the physiological changes that occur with aging, postural deviations are the most readily apparent in this process. Objectives: To assess the influence of dressing application in functional alignment of the shoulder girdle in the elderly by photogrammetry. Method: The sample consisted of 22 elderly women. The girdle of each volunteer was evaluated by photogrammetry seen in anterior, lateral and posterior through Software Postural Assessment (SAPO). Results: Improvement in angular values and distances seen in the anterior, lateral and posterior analyzed after applying the taping. Conclusion: The immediate use of banding in older functional provided an improvement in postural symmetry of the shoulder girdle.Downloads
