Massage effect on the fatigue between resistance training series

Abstract

Despite the great use of the massage in sports, there is not enough evidence to support the efficiency of massage for recovery after exercise, principally in resistance training. Therefore, the aim of the present study we have investigated the effect of the massage after fatiguing activity. In this experiment, we have investigated the effect of the massage on fatigue. Twelve healthy adult volunteers have taken part in the study. All subjects realized by the number of repetitions executed in two conditions (rest and massage). Results shows that massage condition seems be an effective form to remove the fatigue compared rest between sets on strength training.
