Physical exercice effects practiced in Primary Heath Care

Introduction: Physical exercise has been encouraged in Primary Health Care.Objective: to compare two groups of individuals who practice physical exercisesin Primary Care and sedentary, in relation to possible health benefits. Method:Were evaluated 38 individuals, divided into two groups: participants of physicalexercise groups and sedentary. The initial and final evaluation of the two groupscontained sociodemographic and clinical data, physical and respiratory capacityand quality of life. The data were compared intra-groups and inter-groups.Results: In the whithin-group analyzes, were significant differences in quality oflife. In exercise group, physical capacity and quality of life in the sedentary groupwere significant (p <0.05). In between-group comparison, only physical capacitywas different (p <0.05). Conclusion: The physical exercises performed in primarycare present a need for reorganization to achieve better results.Downloads
