Abstract

In general, health organizations should have excellent logistics, especially for inventory and cost management, in order to remain active in a competitive market. It is also indispensable to improve the level of customer service. Therefore, it is essential to have managers with outstanding competence to conciliate conflicting goals: inventory cost minimization and maintenance of satisfactory patient care. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the methods of inventory management adopted at a public pediatric outpatient clinic in order to make suggestions and recommendations for logistics optimization.
