The objective of this research was to understand if the Management Information System is aligned to the strategy in companies of the third sector with hotel activity. The methodology used was through an exploratory research, conducted with interviews with three companies of the segment. It was evidenced that third sector organizations have difficulties in breaking organizational culture to promote change, difficulties in building a planned, organized and professional structure, and the biggest reason for this difficulty is the professional formation of the group of people who manage the organizations and the relationship one has with management. Even with this difficulty it is possible to find the existence of strategic alignment between the Management Information System and Strategic Planning in the organizations studied, where the company (A) stands out.Downloads
