Abstract

The objective of this applied, qualitative and exploratory research was to elaborate Good Practice Guidelines to avoid bad behavior in a dental clinic by its employees. By means of a pre-established script, an interview was conducted with the manager of a dental clinic. The interview was transcribed, and the results were compared with the literature to serve as a basis for the elaboration of the Guidelines. Once drafted, the Guidelines were validated through questionnaires applied to a dentist, a lawyer, and an ethics and governance specialist. The Guidelines were finalized with a simple and objective language, accessible to dental professionals, addressing important concepts and in accordance with Brazilian legislation.
