The use of the ionizing radiation presents an accented growth in function of the technological advances in favor of the humanity. Although this advances not always comes followed of norms or training in security by the people involved. In this work the ionizing radiation and its limits of exposition are analyzed. The study was based on the Norms of the National Commission of Nuclear Energy (Cnen), on Portaria nº 453 of the Anvisa of June 1st 1988 and on the new Regulation Norm nº 32, detailing the annual maximum limits displayed and received by the individuals during their days work, pointing out the actual damages and also the illnesses that can be developed if the limit is not respected. Such illnesses can be restricted to the individual that received the doses and also to be transmitted to their descendants. In this work, it is discussed the necessity of using the individual and collective equipment of protection during the labor period, in order to keep the physical integrity of the people that work in medical radiology.Downloads
