This paper aims to demonstrate that the current increasing in competition among companies makes the competitiveness distinctions more valued in organizations, and that the professional has to be aware of this. In this context, the Analyses of the Implantation of an Environmental Management System (EMS), based on ISO 14001 Standard, fits this frame, in order to look after the environmental preservation required by communities, nongovernmental organizations and governments demands, besides the companies that seek to offer their products and/or services not only according to technical standards, but also to ensure quality of life, therefore preventing the increase of generation/growth of residues. This attitude from the organizations related to the environmental context also searches for a higher power of competitivity and awareness regarding environmental issues.Downloads
