Abstract

The concept that an educational program may not be undertaken without the appropriate instruction material is widely accepted nowadays. It is known that it is necessary for the students have, initially, a background of quantitative thoughts, so they can get the abstract symbols that represent them. To start the student with the activities of mathematics in an abstract way has arisen frustration, discontentment and lack of self-confidence. Moreover, we lose the opportunity to help, guide and lead the student to think. Simply memorizing the rules of mathematics will not make the student think; only realizing and checking this rules may lead the student to create the habit of observing, having meticulous awareness and original thinking. The methods and techniques exposed in this paper are suggestions that may be used. Other techniques may be worked out according to the students’ needs and the aims to be reached.
