Abstract

The area of production and operation has been increasingly demanded for better results, which can be achieved by optimization of its processes and by the synergy with other areas of the organization. In this regard, various activities, that primarily are the subject of little research, such as the allocation of inputs in the storage area, become important. Thus, the aim of this study was to analyze the effect of using sequencing rules in the allocation of inputs in the storage shop, under the justification of increasing the volume of production. Therefore, it was analyzed the process of steel coils dealer and verified the improvement by the use of sequencing rules in the allocation of inputs. The technique used for this was the process simulation applied to sequencing rules.
