Abstract

Solar energy is one of the alternative and renewable sources that makes it possible to supply the electricity grid in small and large scale. The process of generating electricity via solar radiation can be for domestic use on individual scales, as well as in the commercial energy sector on a large scale as solar power plants. This paper proposes a study of the economic feasibility of implementing a photovoltaic solar energy system for the commercial sector in the city of Florianópolis / SC. In order to do so, the main objective is to demonstrate through simulation under different scenarios the viable resources in the use of renewable sources for the reduction of costs with electricity and time of return of investment in the installation of photovoltaic systems integrated to the distribution network in commercial buildings. For the analysis of the proposed scenarios, data were collected from sources of scientific and meteorological information. Through the help of the Microsoft EXCEL calculation tool, it is possible to easily assess the energy consumption, acquisition costs and electricity tariffs; And estimate the time of return of investment in the commercial sector. The simulation of Photovoltaic Simulation for the sector allows to investigate the data of consumption and to evaluate the profile of use of the building through the performance of systems, like the reduction of costs in lighting and air conditioning.
