Abstract

Due to the need for companies to remain competitive, improvement studies must be carried out constantly in the industries, with the purpose of minimizing expenses, waste and maximizing profits. The objective of this work was to analyze and study in detail the process of production of isothermal road tanks, through the mapping of processes and value flow map, aiming to propose improvements actions, following the precepts of lean manufacturing. In this case study, through the descriptive research was realized the observation, analysis and interpretation of the processes of the production line. As for the techniques, documentary research and observation was used. The process mapping of the product in question was carried out, studying in detail the peculiarities of the production line. Subsequently, the map of the flow of present value was developed, observing the flow of materials and information of the productive chain. A flow map of future value was proposed, contributing to the company's study laboratory.
