Abstract

In the quest to improve the knowledge sharing among blue-collar workers in companies from a representative sector in the Brazilian economy, this research identified and evaluated factors related to production management, work management and knowledge management in companies from the automotive sector. The data collected were obtained by an in-person questionnaire applied with production managers from three companies (an automaker, an auto parts manufacturer and an engine manufacturer) in order to assess the importance of the studied factors from the managerial perspective. The responses were evaluated using the Analytic Hierarchy Process - Incomplete Pairwise Comparison method, which made it possible to highlight the greater importance of technical-systemic conversation among blue-collar workers, the role of work instruction and training in knowledge sharing processes. The research contributes to the qualification and learning of new workers, in addition to the favorable context investigation for the creation and sharing of knowledge on the “shop floor”.
