Abstract

Abstract: The adequacy of the sugar and ethanol companies seeking to assist investment groups and consumer market increasingly demanding, highlights the increasing commitment to the corporate culture and management models, which meet the mutual interests aimed at sustainability, quality, social and environmental responsibility. In general, companies in the sugar industry have concentrated its efforts to achieve these goals, seeking transparency in its procedures and processes, which can be seen in public postings on sites of the sugar and ethanol mills in Sao Paulo State. This paper presents an exploratory analysis conducted in sugar and ethanol companies in the state of Sao Paulo, in order to verify the implementation of practices that promote a sustainable management of these organizations.
