The basic aim of this work is to present implicit methods of optimization applied in structures engineering. The Newton Method, Lagrange Method, Penalty Method and Augmented Lagrangiano Method are briefly explained. A theoretical base on the concepts and the mathematical programming algorithms is presented for each one of these methods and furthermore, application examples are shown using the studied methods. These methods are widely used in the finite elements programs during the structures analysis. This article doesn’t have objective to introduce the Finite Elements Method theories, but only show some numerical examples of structures modeled with this method. It is essential to stand out the importance of the knowledge of these tools in the process of structures analysis when the finite elements model is used.Downloads
