Abstract

This article presents a model for assessing the level of maturity of processes, taking into account an overview of the management of the needs (of the processes) in the perspective of the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) cycle, using fuzzy logic (in which the same value of a single variable could be associated with more than one state) to determine the final outcome of the model. The evaluator scores the performance levels of each stage of the cycle, applying specific criteria proposed in this article. The individual results of the evaluations of the four stages of the cycle are consolidated for the final assessment of the whole using a simple, single-stage fuzzy system, taking into account the rules previously established for the model. The final result obtained through the model is the measure of process maturity level with emphasis on its management.
