Abstract

Software production is a complex activity that requires appropriate methods. The evolution of these methods and the adoption of new practices have been constant in areas related to software engineering. Among them stand out agile methods, used in projects that search alternatives to make production more efficient, economical, and of quality. Collective and collaborative features of agile methods indicate a relationship with the strategic learning school and the cultural school. To identify other relationships and strategic contributions of these schools to improve the agile paradigm this study presents a systematic review of the literature, analyzing papers that unite the themes. The results showed that the topic is current and globally discussed, emphasizing the importance of knowledge management to support the deployment of agile processes. In addition, the survey identified other strategic relationships with the learning school and the cultural school, such as incremental and evolutionary characteristics, adapting to change, and integration of the project team.
