Application of Lean Construction Philosophy in the Productive Process of a Civil Construction Sector’s Company

This article aimed to propose improvements to the production process of a company specialized in the construction of barracks and manufacture of parts in concrete frame, using techniques and Lean Construction tools. To this was first assessed the degree of implementation of the eleven principles Lean Construction. Following a diagnosis was made of the seven wastes proposed by the Lean philosophy. The results indicate that the assessed company has 51% of implementation of the principles Lean Construction and 5 of 11 showed impaired principles presenting score equal to or greater than 50% improvement potential.
