Abstract

The present study carried out an analysis on the lamination process of self adhesive in relation to adhesive weight and release strength variables, applying CEP. The data used for this purpose were collected during the month of September 2016, in a self-adhesive industry. A total of 480 samples were collected divided between the two variables and in three subgroups that correspond to the work shifts. For the analysis of the samples the control charts were used for variables (mean and standard deviation). The specification limits were those used by the company, while for assigning the control limits, we opted for a total deviation of 6 sigma. The stability and capability studies have shown that the process admitted unstable for both variables. From that, they were exploited and proposed suggestions in order to improve the quality of the process and of the product and reduce rework.
