Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the artwork juvenile and, in special, to appreciate the case of the funk singer Mc Pedrinho, who was prevented from performing in Fortaleza through a public civil action filed by the State Public Prosecution Office of the State of Ceará. In considering that there is a prohibition of any labor for the individual under the age of sixteen, except if apprentice from the fourteen according to the Federal Constitution of Brazil (article 7, XXXIII, CF/88) the objective of the present study is to develop a review about the possible aspects and differences related to the work of the child that involves artistic manifestation. The methodology of the research can be characterized as bibliographical and documentary. It is concluded that in certain cases, such as Mc Pedrinho, the state intervention in the protection of the child is necessary when it is not performed by the family in a previous way, in order to prioritize the child and the adolescent in their dignity.
