This paper presents a procedure, based on statistical analysis, for categorizing equipment awaiting corrective maintenance. This analysis establishes priorities for decision support in maintenance management of a manufacturing company. The statistical procedures lead to a grouping of equipment, taking into account its usability features and, consequently, service levels for the areas of production and marketing (internal to the company). The results, based on equipment maintenance history, serve as an indicator for prioritization of equipment needing maintenance, considering its current state in relation to the time and quantity of halts (variability). These results can be used to predict halts and compliance with production orders with improvement in the standards of internal services and customers. Prioritization indicators of equipment for corrective maintenance will enable greater assertiveness in production planning, given the impact of nonavailability of equipment on the manufacturing process.Downloads
