Having a comparative focus to generate qualitative data to be carried out in the city of São Luís, using the Health Companies Certification Program, based on the questionnaire, the ONA accreditation manual, used by the Ministry of Health of the Federal Government. The data collection instrument was the audit checklist, where the results were counted through the analysis of the requirements (leadership, strategy and plans, clients, people, processes and results) that made it possible to analyze, evaluate and classify each item. The main conclusions confirm the benefits of the hospital with the non-certification, demonstrating the importance of controlling the processes, developing and training employees, having a strategic vision and seeking customer satisfaction through quality service.
