Abstract

This study aims to analyze the items performed about Escritório de Gerenciamento de Projetos – EGP (in English, Project Management Office – PMO) in events and periodicals in Brazil. The search becomes timely, to the extent that they consider relevant recent research conducted on the subject, in the national and international literature. Such evidence strengthens the need to understand that searches are being produced in this context. For this, we analyzed 61 articles published on the Portal ANPAD, Scientific Periodicals portal Electronic Library (SPELL), the Capes Journal, and International Science bases Direct, Web of Science, b-on and Google Scholar between periods of 2005 until the beginning of 2015. The analysis included the NVivo software help, which allowed a comparative analysis between the articles. The results reveal some differences between the groups of articles reviewed, with the Group of international articles that presented more citations of authors and works in relation to national. However, in relation to the issues addressed, the two groups of articles showed some differences, besides considering some emerging themes to the context of research on PMOs, pointing to new research horizons.
