The social function of the firm is not expressed in the constitutional text, although it is a development of the social function of property, which is why it must be combined with the protection of economic activity, free enterprise, free competition and the interests of the company. From the historical evolution of the social function of the firm, from the thinking of the Liberal State, through the Democratic State of Law and the so-called Post-Social or Post-Modern State, it will be possible to analyze its current stage of concretization. The hypothesis that is formulated is that the regulation of the business activity constitutes an efficient tool so that the social function of the firm is effectively a reality. Thus, through the hypothetico-deductive method, with the theoretical approach and bibliographical research, at the end will be exposed possible solutions for the realization of the social function of the firm.
