Individualism and collectivism in the foundation of group rights

This study examines the question of whether group rights are human rights. The question of whether group rights are human rights is not as harmless and formal as it seems at first. If human rights were only rights of individual human beings and collective rights were only rights of groups, then they would belong to substantially different categories of rights. In addition, group rights could not be based on human dignity. In this article, I intend to show that group rights are in fact a form of human rights. However, neither the individualist nor the collectivist approach can justify this claim.
