Resumen

Ethical reflection takes a step forward in the 20th century when the advances in biology and the life sciences urged a new vision of medical ethics as these advances were a product of research with human beings. This gives rise to Bioethics in the second half of the 20th century as a way to create a bridge between biomedical sciences and Ethical philosophy. Bioethics also aims at founding a minimal common ethic for the human species. We think that one way to found a common ethic is finding what is common to our species and one way to do this is by starting with the consideration that we are a biological species that like the other existing species, surged from an evolutionary process. Key words: Bioethics; Minimal ethics; Human species; Evolution.
