The objective of the study is to describe and analyze the implementation and execution of a new health management model implemented in the Holy Spirit, as the case study of Central State Hospital managed by a Social Health Organization. The work was characterized by a case study, descriptive with qualitative analysis. It was found that the main motivation for the implementation of the Health Social Organization model was the fragility of the management of state government units without solving for patients in need of care in hospitals. It can be concluded that the model adopted for management of public hospitals by social organizations in the Holy Spirit are important for the hospital public service, as they ensure the delivery of its products to capixaba population and greater state control with public resources used in health management.
