Studies of the process of productive integration between countries have increased considerably in recent decades. This fact led to various theoretical approaches to study this phenomenon. To better understand this phenomenon, this article aims to distinguish the factors that influence the strategies of global sourcing and production integration policies in Brazil. For this, a study was conducted through qualitative interviews with five representatives of associations and five government representatives of Brazilian companies. These interviews were analyzed through the technique of content analysis. The categorization made in the content analysis helped to understand the concepts related: the politics of productive integration and global sourcing strategies in the Brazilian context. Thus, this study provides a theoretical and empirical basis for understanding the differences and similarities of these concepts. The search for definition of these concepts it is clearly an issue, especially the complex relationships that exist in the factors that precede their practices.Downloads
