Abstract

This work showed the properties of lipase produced by strain from Pseudomonas cepacia, its activity and stability in the presence of different ions due to assist in process of biodiesel. After 96 hours of fermentation the crude enzyme was analyzed using olive oil as substrate. Ions as I1-stimulated enzyme activity by 40% compared to the control, the Mn2 +, Co2 +, Ca2 + and maintained the activity of the enzyme, however the presence of ions Fe2 +, Hg2 + and Al3+ had an inhibitory effect on the activity of lipase. This may be due to complexation of these ions with the enzyme.
