Abstract

The term stakeholder emerged in scientific research and strategic management of organizations in 1984 as a group of people who play vital role in the success of a business. Subsequently, this term was consolidated then management of these actors was recognized as relevant to success of organizations. Based on the Stakeholders Theory, this research identified gaps in academic work about stakeholder management in social projects, reinforcing relevance of studies in groups such as the Organização de Aprendizagens e Saberes em Iniciativas Solidárias (OASIS) that manages social projects. Thus, this study aims to analyze management of stakeholders execution in social projects in the OASIS group in 2017. A qualitative-descriptive methodology was used, with a case study, documentary analysis and interviews of group members. Thematic analysis and categorization were also used in Atlas.TI software. The results were analyzed in four thematic and categorized 17 direct and 8 indirect stakeholders. In addition planning, management and control of stakeholders occurs informally without using processes or tools recommended by Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide 5th edition . This research reveals important aspects about management of social groups, which can be a tool to support decision making for managers in similar projects.
