Copyright Policy
This journal is Open Access and free of charge. Copyright is held by the authors, under the use of the Creative Commons 4.0 License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). It provides immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making the scientific community’s production freely available to the public promotes greater democratization of knowledge
Authors and co-authors retain copyright and moral rights. By submitting their articles, they grant the journal the right of first publication without any exclusivity, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons 4.0 License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
The articles can be read, downloaded, copied, cited, distributed, printed, searched, cited again, linked to full texts, or used for other legal purposes at no cost to the academic community, as long as the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License are followed, which grants the right to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, provided proper attribution is given.
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material, provided the original license is not altered and attribution is maintained.
Authors and co-authors publishing in this journal agree to the indexing of the article in national and international databases, directories, digital libraries, sound recording, bibliometric databases, and posting on social media platforms in which the journal is or will be included. There are no fees associated with the journal.
Authors and co-authors are authorized to enter into additional contracts separately, for the non-exclusive distribution of the work published in this journal, such as publishing in institutional repositories or as a book chapter, with proper acknowledgment of authorship and initial publication in this journal.
They are encouraged to publish and distribute their work online: in institutional repositories, on their personal webpage, etc., after publication, as this can increase the impact and citation of the published work.

Copyright and Licensing History
Until 2017, the copyright of articles published by the journal belonged to the journal.
From 2018 onward, copyright became the property of the authors and co-authors.
Regarding licensing, the journal began its activities in 2013 adopting the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA license, which remained in effect until 2016.
In 2017, there was variation in the use of licenses:
- Volumes 5, n. 1 and n. 2 were published under the CC BY-NC-SA license;
- Volume v. 5, n. 3 adopted the CC BY-NC license.
In 2018, the journal began to use exclusively the CC BY-NC license.
In 2019, there was concurrent adoption of licenses within the same issue. In v. 7, n. 1 (Jan./Apr. 2019):
- Articles with IDs 16497, 16498, 16499, and 16500 were published under the CC BY-NC license;
- Articles with IDs 16501, 16502, 16503, 16504, and 16505 were published under the CC BY-NC-SA license.
From v. 7, n. 2 (May/Aug. 2019) onward, the journal adopted exclusively the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA license, which remains in effect to this day.
