Abstract

Modern states constitute themselves in relation to the idea of property: on a first moment, occupation; later, its inscription in a sacred realm, the realm of Law (and identity): in this mythological operation, possession appears as the origin of property. However, for the former colonies, to adopt this conception implicates the use of the same principle that relegated them to their colonial statute. Following the centenarian of Brazilian Independence (1822-1922), the avant-garde movements – confined, today, by disciplinary boundaries, to literary and artistic studies –, and attempted to put in question the foundations of this model of national constitution. This papers deals with one of these movements, “Antropofagia”, especially with the conception of Antropophagic Law: “possession against property”.
