This article deals with the genealogy of power in Foucault. To understand the genealogical method proposed by Foucault, stands out in this study, the influence of the genealogy of Nietzsche's moral values. From the development of genealogy, Foucault analyzes the establishment of control mechanisms necessary for the training of individuals in industrial society. Control techniques, based on punishment and reward became central to the control of the body in institutions such as schools, factories, hospitals and prisons. Thus, the disciplinary society Foucault characterizes as a form of organization that focuses on protecting the wealth of individuals and training for the industrial system. The genealogy of Foucault contributes significantly to the epistemological reflection about the relationship between knowledge, discourse, social practices, technologies and power in contemporary society.Downloads
