Management of innovation in production planning: a case study applied to the minimization of industrial costs

Aiming to remain competitive in the market, companies are increasingly seeking alternatives to minimize costs and improve the productivity of their processes, and to do so, the Innovation Management stands out as needed to improvement. The object of this article is to demonstrate, from a case study results that demonstrate the effectiveness of Innovation Management, in its bibliographic concepts within a planning area of production of mining and logistics industry that aims to in the end increase productivity of a tool used in production planning. Such procedure converges with the company philosophy of continuous improvement, and in the case of this study, the interaction of its own area and software developer's representatives, the results were positive, pointing to its application in scale and the need continuity of the diffusion of innovation management in the company.
