Women's refuge in Brazil: what to say about gender (in)equality and personality rights

The present paper aimed to analyze the refuge of women in Brazil and compare the information with international in order to verify if the gender issue still has relevance in the requests. Therefore, at first, a historical construction was made around human rights and personality rights. Then, the analysis of the (in) equality of gender was carried out, verifying if there was, or still is, the search for the emancipation of women in the international community. After that, the data on women's refuge in Brazil were compared with the world situation. Although the cut referring to a country has been made, it is concluded that even in the refuge there are reflections of the absence of gender equality. Therefore, in this article, the deductive method was used through a qualitative analysis, based on bibliographical and documentary research.
