Abstract

The Portuguese legal education has undergone serious changes, including in relation to the method of study, and as a result, new disciplines were introduced. The development of this process occurred in three phases: the promulgation of the Law of Good Reason, the preparation of the Compendium of History, University of Coimbra and the imposition of the Statutes of the University of Coimbra, 1772.
