Abstract

Due to the parsimony of pedagogical works based on an ethnic-racial perspective (Law 10.639 / 03) in the education of youths and adults of a bilingual school for the deaf, in the city of São Paulo, a pedagogical experience was developed based on the promotion and In valuing ethnic-racial diversity; In articulation with the theme of deafness, because of the bilingual constitution of the School Unit (Municipal Decree No. 52.785 / 11). Three groups of the night period participated in the project (8ºE, 9ºC and 9ºD, in the total of 22 stu-dents). From a Freirean perspective, interdisciplinary pedagogical actions were undertaken to guarantee a non-hegemonic epistemological diversity with emphasis on the categories of raciality and deafness. Initial sensitization was based on the film "Hidden Figures" (2016). The duration was of a bimester and involved the subjects of Science, Mathematics, Portu-guese and LIBRAS. The results revealed the low professional and school expectations that students have.
