Abstract

This paper intend to discuss the role of communication inside Assessment Processes, based on the idea of an adequate modus comunicandi in order not to compromise the effectiveness of assessment practice. We also show that historic background of the assessments concept has changed, not only assessment focus, but its communicative context orientation. The main line of the discussion goes trough the necessary pre-requisites for the occurrence on an adequate feedback from the results of the professorate assessment and that can work as a useful tool for the proces ses of change. This communicative ecosystem can be turned to cooperation, aiming the development or can be used as a manipulating tool for people and systems. We strongly believe that the analysis and discussion of the communicative interactions can not be detached from assessment meta-discourses in all dimensions, since it could compromise the success and credibility of Assessment Programs that always demands significative negotiations, constant redefinitions, dialogue and comprehension. With only these facts, we could practice the assessment gesture in a technical manner, without repelling from its ethic and aesthetic dimensions.
