Based on the premise of being companies preponderant social institutions in the present time, this article seeks to demonstrate that corporate social function depends on the size of the economic enterprise and companies social organization, arguing that there is not only one company social function, rather, there are several. It is refused the idea that corporate social function corresponds to the mere legislation enforcement. It seeks to give this expression its own juridical significance, as a general and open ethical clause, capable of adapting such legislation to the new social realities, always respecting the capitalist mode of production as a mean of promoting development and human dignity.
