Objective: To analyze changes in emotional state and cardiovascular reactivity of adolescent futsal players. Methods: Twenty adolescents of the masculine gender, with 15.6 (±1.1) years old were appraised 30 min before the training and competition situations. The evaluation of emotional state consisted in measuring stress and anxiety. The cardiovascular reactivity included the systemic blood pressure, heart rate, pulse pressure and double product. Results: The pre-competition situation increased the stress symptoms (last 24h, last month and last three months) and the anxiety line, cognitive and somatic (p<0.001). The cardiovascular reactivity increased approximately 15% (p<0.01). In this situation, the stress of 24h was correlated with to systolic blood pressure (r=0.447). However the somatic anxiety correlated to the weight (r=0.602), to the body mass index (r=0.580) and the waist circumference (r=0.610). Conclusion: The sports competitions change the emotional states and foment cardiovascular hyper reactivity of adolescent futsal practicers.Downloads
