Authorship and Submission

Responsibilities of the Submitting Author

The submitting author is responsible for communication throughout the editorial process, for the accuracy of the submission information, and for providing all required documentation requested by the journal. They must ensure that all co-authors are appropriate and that no inappropriate individuals are included in the submission, and that all co-authors are aware of the article submission, as well as the journal’s guidelines and policies.

CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy)

Authorship must be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study, and should be listed in the CRediT Table.

Others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project should also be acknowledged or listed as contributors.

A maximum of 8 (eight) authors is allowed.

All authors and their information must be provided at the time of submission. No additional authors can be included after the article has been submitted.

Authors must also be listed on the Title Page (Download), and all authors must sign the Submission Declaration (Download).

Filling in Author Metadata During Submission

1. All fields in the profile of each author must be fully completed: full name (no abbreviations), affiliated institution (with acronym), country, and biographical summary (academic degree, institution, field of expertise, department);

2. Provide the ORCID® (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) number. If you do not have one, register via the following link: https://orcid.org/register. Registration is free. Missing this identifier may result in the article not being published;

3. In the URL field, provide the link to your Lattes Curriculum or professional website;

4. All authors must be aware of the submission and must sign the Submission Declaration – Author Awareness, electronically. This document must be attached to the submission. To sign it, follow the instructions for GOV.br Electronic Signature, or scan the signature.

5. The declaration must be uploaded as a PDF file under Item 2 – Manuscript Transfer at the time of submission. Use the available template (Download).

6. The authors’ names must be omitted from the manuscript file, under penalty of immediate rejection. Ensure there are no personal details at the beginning of the document, in figures, etc.

7. If any of the above criteria are not met, the submission will be archived, and the authors will be notified.

Comments to the Editor Field

In this field, specify the type of manuscript:

1. Original research, presenting clinical trials or cross-sectional studies;

2. Systematic review articles, with or without meta-analysis. Narrative reviews will not be accepted;

3. Letters to the Editor, a category that includes Rapid Communications;

4. Reports, technical notes, and letters expressing comments or differing opinions on articles published in ConScientiae Saúde;

Specify the subject matter addressed.
