Abstract


Abstract: The educational process of people with visual impairment involves, among oth-ers, mainly, access to reading and writing as a timely element in the acquisition of concepts that possibly contribute to effective citizenship. Educational practices applied to blind and low vision students were considered in order to value the fairness of opportunities in a society that considers educational diversity for equal access. The objective of this article was therefore to evaluate the actions of educational practices that are offered to visually im-paired people in the state education system of the state of São Paulo, in resource rooms and in itinerant teaching, in order to offer equal access to the curriculum in different mo-dalities, which mobilize autonomous and independent quality actions inherent to the differ-ent subjects served.
